The Development of Teachers’ Connecting Skills with Self-Directed Learning Through a Learning Package on the Internet

Abstract

This research article aim to (1) a learning package on the Internet on the organization of experiences for kindergarten children in the new normal era; to compare (2) the teachers’ knowledge prior to and after the study with self-directed learning through a learning package on the Internet; and (3) the teachers’ connecting skills after the study with self-directed learning through a learning package on the Internet. The sample population consisted of thirty early childhood teachers. The method of simple random sampling was employed by drawing lots. The research instruments used to collect data consisted of (1) a learning package on the Internet on the organization of experiences for kindergarten children in the new normal era; (2) a knowledge test; and (3) an evaluation form of connecting skills. The statistics used in data analysis were mean (gif.latex?\bar{X}) and standard deviation (SD). The technique of dependent samples t test was also employed.


The results of the research revealed that (1) The learning package on the Internet on the organization of experiences for kindergarten children in the new normal era exhibited an efficiency of 80.30/82.11. (2) The comparison of teachers’ knowledge prior to and after the study with self-directed learning through a learning package on the Internet on the organization of experiences for kindergarten children in the new normal era found the average score after the study higher than prior to the study at the statistically significant level of .05. (3) The connecting skills after the study were found to be at a very good level (gif.latex?\bar{X} = 11.73).
