Improving the Quality of life of the Elderly Based on the Integrated Participation of Network Partners

Abstract

This academic article aims to (1) analyze the rights and welfare of the Thai elderly (2) develop the quality of life of the elderly (3) problems in developing the quality of life of the elderly (4) networks and factors affecting network management. Network for improving the quality of life of the elderly and (5) participation of network partners in developing the quality of life of the elderly as a framework for analysis.


Findings are as follows: (1) social welfare operations for the elderly starting from the preparation of a national long-term plan for the elderly. Setting regulations, laws, and creating public policy (2) World Health Organization, the components of the quality of life of the elderly have been divided into 4 areas: physical aspect, mental aspect, social relationship aspect, and environmental. (3) The problem of operations regarding the elderly is that the work lacks integration and is redundant in terms of issues and areas, laws, rules, or regulations. It is not conducive to operations and lacks a database of elderly people. (4) Important factors that contribute to the success of network management in improving the quality of life of the elderly include the leaders of the network. Communication and having activities together information system organization. There are adequate supporting resources and create a collaborative learning system. And (5) coordination and collaboration together with various partner organizations, from the government sector, local government organizations, the private sector, civil society is to strengthen the network of the elderly.
