Abstract
Factors Influencing Knowledge Management of the City Municipality Officers in Thailand
This research was aimed at studying 1) knowledge management of the city municipality officers’ acknowledgement in Thailand 2) factors influencing knowledge management of the city municipality officers’ acknowledgement in Thailand and 3) the experts’ opinions about factors influencing knowledge management of the city municipality officers in Thailand.
The questionnaires with content validity and reliability were constructed as a research tool for collecting information from 406 city municipality officers in Thailand. Including a structured interview with the experts or the local administrator. The factors which influenced on knowledge management of the city municipality officers’ acknowledgement in Thailand most were 1) leadership, organization communication climate, and government by network on knowledge creation. 2) leadership, information technology, and achievement motive on knowledge utilization and 3) leadership, information technology and organization communication climate on knowledge assessment and improvement.
The experts’ opinions about the factors influencing knowledge management of the city municipality officers in Thailand indicated as follows: 1) new strategies of administration in the organization 2) working performance with technical principles and professional standards 3) making confidence in the leaders to show that they can solve any problems happening in the organization 4) policy imposing on information technology management in the annual plan 5) self-awareness of working with all their ability and developing on job performance regularly and 6) voting for an organization representative to participate in the local community development committee and holding a meeting.
