Updated Citation Guidelines (APA 7th Edition)
Posted on 2026-02-26Ph.D. Social Sciences Journal hereby announces an update to our citation and referencing requirements. Effective from Volume 16, Issue 1 (January–April 2026) onwards, all submitted manuscripts must strictly adhere to the APA 7th Edition style for both in-text citations and the reference list.
The key requirements are as follows:
1. In-text Citations
Author-Date System: All citations must follow the Author-Date format.
Citation Styles: Both parenthetical citations (e.g., Author, 2026) and narrative citations (e.g., Author (2026) states...) are required where appropriate.
Accountability: Every concept, dataset, statistic, or finding drawn from external sources must be clearly and accurately attributed to its original source.
2. Language-Specific Formatting
Thai Sources: Citations and references for Thai-language documents must follow APA 7th Edition standards adapted for Thai publications.
English Sources: Citations and references for English-language documents must strictly follow standard APA 7th Edition guidelines.
3. Consistency and Accuracy
Exact Match: Every in-text citation must correspond exactly—word-for-word—with the entries in the Reference list (including author names, publication years, and other identifiers).
Reference List Integrity: The References section must contain only the sources actually cited within the body of the manuscript.
