Strategic Innovation for Enhancing Employee Engagement in Health and Beauty Centers in Thailand

Abstract

This research article aimes to  (1) study the work environment, organizational management, fair compensation practices, quality of work life, and organizational commitment of employees in health and beauty centers in Thailand. (2) causal factors influencing organizational commitment of employees in health and beauty centers in Thailand. and (3) develop strategic innovations aimed at enhancing the organizational commitment of employees in health and beauty centers in Thailand. This is a mixed methods research, quantitative research with a sample of 420 employees working in a health and beauty centers. The data were collected by a questionnaire and analyzed by mean, standard deviation, and structural equation modeling. For qualitative research, in-depth interviews with 15 experts and conducting content analysis.


        Findings are as follows: (1) The highest mean score was found in fair compensation practices (M = 3.72), followed by organizational management (M = 3.71), quality of work life (M = 3.68), and work environment (M = 3.58) and organizational commitment (M = 3.76). (2) Fair compensation practices had direct influence on the organizational commitment of employees in health and beauty centers in Thailand, with an influence coefficient of .93, organizational management, work environment, and quality of work life had influence coefficients of .65, .47, and .46, respectively. and (3) The strategic innovations aimed at enhancing organizational commitment of employees in health and beauty centers in Thailand comprise seven approaches Including organizational culture development, participation in decision-making, well-being enhancement, improvement of the work environment, empowerment through technology, transparent communication, and work motivation.
