Abstract

The objectives of this research were as  follow: 1) to study the level of  hope, resilience, social skills and successful aging of the elderly in an Elderly Club, Nonthaburi  Province.; 2) to compare  successful aging of the elderly by personal factors; 3) to study the relationship between hope and successful aging of the elderly; 4) to study the relationship between resilience and successful aging of  the elderly; and 5) to study the relationship between social skills and  successful aging of the elderly. The samples used in this research were 338 elderly in an elderly club, Nonthaburi Province.; The data were collected by using questionnaires.  The statistical methods used for analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test (one way ANOVA), multiple comparison  (LSD), and Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient. The level of significance was set at .05 The results of the study were as follow: - 1) the level of  hope and social skills of the elderly were at moderate level, resilience and successful aging were at high level; 2) the elderly who had difference in participation in activities were found to have difference in their successful aging  at .05 level of significance;  3) hope, resilience and social skills were found to correlate positively to  successful aging  at .01 level of significance.
