Abstract

The research aimed to 1) create the training manual to develop the characteristics of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers, 2) compare the knowledge of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers during before, after and follow up the training. This research used mixed methods and divided into two phases. Phase 1: create the training manual to develop characteristics of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers. Phase 2: development of characteristics of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers in the area of Huang Namkhao sub district, MuangTrat district, Trat province by using 30 volunteers, 16 hours. The research instrument was evaluation form on training of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers. The qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis and compare the knowledge of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers during before, after and follow up the training by statistics of , S.D. and t-test. The findings were as follows: 1. The training manual to develop the characteristics of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers revealed that it was appropriate quality to apply in the setting up activities for the development of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers at the highest level (= 4.70, S.D. = .46). 2. The comparisons of the knowledge of natural resource and village environment protection volunteers during before, after and follow up the training by using training manual in the area of Huang Namkhao sub district, Muang Trat district, Trat province by using 30 volunteers, 16 hours revealed that they had score at a mean of 23.43 before training and mean after training at 34.87 while the mean during follow up at 33.50 so that the knowledge after training had higher than before training at a statistical significance level of .01.
