Abstract

“Asean” is an organisation of economic, social and cultural cooperation of southeast asian countries. The leaders of ASEAN member countries try to limit themselves at times. “it will not allow the organisation to step into the organisation of military cooperation.” (East asia treaty organisation). But after the change of regime in Indochina in 1975 and the withdrawal of the US from the mainland of southeast Asia in 1976, there
has been talk of the possibility of greater military cooperation among ASEAN members. However these things do not mean that. Asean will become an organisation of military cooperation.
