HOPE AND DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE OF THAILAND Strategic Concepts for National Development For the period of 10 Years (2017–2026)

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research. The objectives of this research are to study key factors of change that impact the strategic environment at both domestic and global levels, to study the strategy formulation model and recommend the strategic concept for the development of Thailand for the next 10 years. This research found that in the new global landscape and the new context of Thai society which has been changed, transforming Thailand into a first world nation needs a clear strategic common objectives for national development and strategic concepts to achieve them. This  research recommends a clear strategic common objectives for national development with key success factors of which the most importance key success factors are the stability, peace and order in Thai society and 8 strategic concepts, it recommends to have these strategic concepts learnt in the secondary school and above. Also, it recommends to establish “Thai Wisdom Operation Centres” in 4 regions of Thailand and should research the new National Strategy Formulation Model of the 21st century for Thailand.
