Abstract

The objectives of this study are, studying and analysis how to using town planning propels The National Strategy for National Competitiveness Enhancement and find out the main issue in case of Eastern Special Development Zone. Defining the models for a new town planning and driving The National Strategy for National Competitiveness Enhancement. In this study is kind of qualitative research that the data was collected by using in-depth interview, reviews related literatures and also suggestions from the responsible person and related to the Eastern Special Development Zone

               The result founded that Town planning will be a mechanism to drive The National Strategy for National Competitiveness Enhancement, it will be the tools for integrate and manage areas and creating balance between economic, social and environment. However in this situation, regulation and town planning implementation in the past found that the old town planning couldn’t effectively implement. The cause of many issues such as policy, regulation and management. Thus the researcher much analyzed for finding alternatives to using town planning propels The National Strategy for National Competitiveness Enhancement by defining the new model of town planning was received from responsible person interview and related to the Eastern Special Development Zone and also urban planners that will relay to Eastern Special Development Zone planning. The plan was integrated and analyzed suitability by using Urban Planning theories and also reviewing policy, guideline, all related projects will appear in Land use plan, public transportation plan, Infrastructure and utility system, settlement system, water management system, disaster protection plan and also measure for ecosystem and environment that suited for industry goals, special industry and other enterprise. By the way the Eastern Special Development Zone plan is the policy plan, it will be control as the regulation and be able adaptive to other area such Southern Special Development Zone Thailand.
