Logistics sector driving Thailand economy

Abstract

Logistics sector is the important part of driving Thailand economy because it is the source of making income, employment and distributing resource to all sectors. If logistics can perform effectively, economy cost of Thailand will reduce that can drive Thailand economy efficiency too. Although Thailand logistics system can increase more efficiency but not good enough for competing in international level.

                                      From the importance above, the researcher will study problems and obstacles in logistics development included solutions to develop logistics business by qualitative research from meeting and discussion with experienced person in logistics business. And further study from strategic plans, books, writings, articles and related documents.

                                      The research found that logistics have a high role and importance for driving Thailand business. Problems and solutions will be on infrastructure issues, potential of entrepreneurs, innovations, rules and development of supporting sectors.

                                      The researcher has policy recommendations to support the development of logistics efficiency as follows

1. Designing measures and regulations of government must operate in accordance with the private sector
2. Publicize thoroughly and continuously

Establish a central organization to take care the policy, planning, follow up and coordinate with all related departments. And pushing for serious actions.
