Abstract

Space security is an important mission of every sector of the nation. Currently, the Royal Thai Air Force has designated space affairs as one of the primary missions to develop the capability of the Air Force of the Royal Thai Air Force. The author has divided Space affairs into 4 parts, including Satellite for communication, Satellite System for Survey Resources under the Ministry of Space Science and Technology's responsibility, and Geoinformatics or Gisda. The Satellite Economic and Space Research Group operates in telephony services, broadcasting systems, media, radio, television, and internet, including the space affairs group for security. The Space Operations Center is primarily responsible for serving the space's national interests. The Space Security Cooperation consists of 3 primary missions 1) Space surveillance is an operational mission to find, track, and identify threats from space. 2) Intelligence mission in monitoring space reconnaissance. There is an operating satellite system to take pictures of the Earth with high-resolution cameras and access operations worldwide. 3) Space information system interprets images from satellites, data adjustment, image, and data classification. Moreover, Space Operations Center of Royal Thai Air Force has created an explicit knowledge of interpreting photos for the country's development.

                The author has studied the space surveillance systems of the United States, England, and Japan. From the literature review, the critical focus includes the operating system, threat alert system, device detection, and a wide range of radars, technologies, and space surveillance equipment.

                The direction of space security in Thailand has 2 essential operational guidelines and 5 aspects of management, as follows: 1) Comprehensive analysis on components of space affairs 2) Development of each component to be effective

3) Standardization and stability of each factor 4) Completed management system

5) Comprehensive operation system. There are 3 crucial sessions in 3 steps 1) Research process 2) Developing readiness process, and 3) Application process for space affairs for the national security of Thailand.

                To summarize, the Thai space affair needs time to develop and operate both in military affairs and outside military affairs, which must have a clear visual direction, policy management system, strong knowledge, and effective manpower to operate the Thai space security direction system to be number one of ASEAN.
