Strategic and Roadmap for Sustainability in Medical Intelligence of Thailand

Abstract

Thailand is at a crucial juncture in the transformation of its healthcare system into the digital age, incorporating smart technologies to enhance service efficiency and quality. Current situational analysis reveals both significant opportunities and challenges in developing Thailand's digital health system and smart medical care.

          Leveraging the firsthand experience of the researcher, the design of King Mongkut’s Hospital employs the Patient Journey concept, which not only enhances patient treatment experience but also adheres to the Holistic Health principle, aiming to improve both physical and mental health. This approach facilitates convenient access to hospital services and includes green spaces that reduce stress and increase relaxation for patients and medical personnel, contributing significantly to health recovery and ensuring good air quality. Moreover, the hospital utilizes the Circular Economy framework to manage resources and medical waste, promoting sustainability in its ecosystem.

          Achieving sustainable smart medicine requires a multifaceted and collaborative approach, engaging various stakeholders and addressing key strategies to enhance the healthcare system's potential while ensuring patient safety, ethical practices, and equitable access to innovation. Ultimately, these efforts will lead to a more sustainable and resilient healthcare ecosystem, delivering better patient care and driving advancements in smart medicine. It is crucial to recognize that the journey towards sustainable smart medicine is an ongoing process requiring continuous adaptation, collaborative efforts, and a commitment to ethical and responsible practices.
