Innovative participatory learning based on diversity of resource in Ratchaburi Province

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were to 1) analyze the diversity of tourism resources in the communities in Ratchaburi Province, 2) develop innovative participatory learning based on diversity of resources in the communities of Ratchaburi Province, and 3) assess satisfaction with the innovations for community-based learning. The sample used for the research consisted of 10 tourism agencies and 100 tourists who traveled to Ratchaburi Province, and the selection was accidental sampling. The research instruments consisted of a structured interview form, learning innovations, and a satisfaction rating form for community-based learning innovations. Data were analyzed by content analysis and basic statistics such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of the research show that 1) the diversity of tourism resources of Ratchaburi Province in each district is outstanding and can be divided into (1) natural resources (2) human resources, which both characteristics can be used to create products for the community, 2) an innovative form of community-based learning consists of maps, text, and still images that serve as an augmented reality of creative tourism attractions, which can be viewed in augmented reality at Youtube or via QR - code, and 3) tourists' overall satisfaction level with the innovation of community-based participatory learning was the highest.
