Evaluation results of a two-dimensional digital media innovation prototype for communicating and promoting first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation knowledge among new-generation students

Abstract
This research aimed to evaluate the quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and acceptance of a two-dimensional (2D) digital media innovation prototype for communicating and promoting first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) knowledge among new generation. The research sample consisted of 163 students from the Animation, Game and Digital Media program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. The research instruments included a 2D digital media innovation prototype, an expert quality assessment form, pre-test and post-test achievement tests, and an acceptance form for the 2D digital media innovation prototype. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, efficiency analysis based on Meguiean’s criteria, and effectiveness analysis using the Normalized Gain criteria.
The research findings revealed that the 2D digital media innovation prototype demonstrated a high level of quality (M = 4.43, S.D. = 0.54). Among the evaluated aspects, the presentation component achieved the highest mean score (M = 4.53, S.D. = 0.55). The efficiency of the prototype, based on the Meguigan’s criteria was 1.29 and its effectiveness, based on the Normalized Gain criteria, was 0.81, indicating a high level of development. Overall, the prototype received a high level of acceptance from students (M = 4.47, S.D. = 0.58). The results demonstrate that the developed 2D digital media prototype for promoting CPR knowledge possesses strong quality, efficiency, and effectiveness, and is well accepted by young adults. Therefore, It can be effectively used as an instructional tool to enhance students' knowledge and skills in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
