"Praphon Ruangnarong” in the Atmosphere of Southern Border Studies

Abstract

Prapon Ruangnarong had a positive impact on  knowledge about Southern border of Thailand during 1970s onwards. This reflects  the progress on Regional Studies of Post National Economic Development Plan  starting in 1961. Prapon is a Buddhist scholar as well as writer who studies on Melayu culture and results in its recognition in Thai society, along with other Muslim scholars who reconstruct Islamic identity..
