Abstract

From Year 2463 BE, the opening of then-Pattani County Railway Line, which started from U-Ta-Pao Junction Station and ended at Na Pradu Station which later expanded to Su-ngai Kolok Station at the end of the railway line in the southern border of Thailand, has created opportunities and prosperity in society, economy, governing, education and connecting the outside world with the southern border areas. This has caused many historical stories and prosperity in the area. Over the past 100 years, many valuable stories have been created relating to this railway line that should be recorded as historical information for next generations before its transition from the construction of a double-track railway line to a high-speed train in the future, as in other areas. The former Khok Pho Station or present Pattani Station is the important landmark that can tell us about the historical story of Pattani Provincial Railway Line.
