Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Sao Boonsaner's Passing

Abstract

 "Yod Ying" by S.Naosai is a famous novel by a writer who made great contributions to the Thai writing industry. Published back in 1942, the story’s setting had been relived the past 20 years. The scenes took place in Pattani, showing 100-year-ago atmospheres of the town and the relationships of government officials, new middle classes, and people of Pattani. The characters' life cycles portrayed the identity of once delightful city of Pattani - a multicultural area.
