Abstract

This article examines the way of life of local fishing communities around Pattani Bay, a region rich in cultural and geographical diversity. The local fishermen have a deep connection with nature, particularly the sea and coastal ecosystems. Fishing is the primary livelihood, linking the community with natural resources and seasonal changes. This study highlights the sustainable use of natural resources and demonstrates the long-standing relationship between humans and nature in Pattani Bay. It also explores the environmental and economic changes affecting fishing and the communities' lifestyles today. These changes are the result of industrial development and unsustainable natural resource exploitation.
