Abstract

This research aims to study on the competency of the community and Agro-Tourism guidelines for develop to sustainable Agro-Tourism. Data for this research is qualitative data.
The sample chose from non- probability sampling by purposive sampling which are community representative total 30 samples who are community leader or group people who get benefit from
Agro-Tourism in Royal Agricultural Station Pang Da project. The tool use to collect data is in-depth interview with key opinion leaders by join the workshop of group of the researchers.  This research use SWOT analysis to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunity and threats by “Appreciation – Influence – Control” of AIC activity. The result found out that the community competency is ready to develop in term of tourism resources and participation which including agricultural attractions and local lifestyle. While facilities components of Agro-Tourism need to be further developed. The guidelines to develop sustainable Agro-Tourism are to focus on
1.) The pattern of Agro-Tourism has to be in form of community activities. The management has to be transparent with acknowledged rules and regulations and can be checked. The board of management should change regularly to prevent monopoly power. 2) The pattern of sustainable Agro-Tourism has to be appropriated by promoting the multi-choices of Agro-Tourism pattern.  They also should have uniqueness or outstanding point of the community for both facilities and the differences from other Agro-Tourism. 3.) Searching for more opportunities to expand the
market to increase the income, especially in the domestic market as well as expanding market network from domestic to overseas market.
