Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this study were 1) to develop the supplementary science book on food contaminants for high school student sand to assess the book’s quality by the
experts, 2) to study the learning achievement of the students learning with the book, and 3) to study the students’ satisfaction toward the supplementary science book. The sample group was one classroom of 10th grade students (27students). The research tools consisted of 1) The supplementary science book on food contaminants, 2) the quality assessment form of the book by experts, 3) the learning achievement test on food contaminants, and4) the students’ satisfaction questionnaire toward the book.
The statistics used to analyze the collecting data were mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent sample. The result indicated that: 1) the quality of thesuppl ementary science book by experts was at level of very good quality ( = 4.52, S.D. = 0.50), 2) the mean scores of the learning achievement of posttest were higher than those of pretest at the statistically significant .05 level and found that posttest mean scores at 72.47%, and 3) the students’ satisfaction toward the supplementary science book on environmental pollution were at very good level. ( = 4.79, S.D. = 0.45)
