ADOPTION OF THE “COOPERATIVE FINANCIAL SURVEILLANCE AND WARNING SYSTEM: SET STANDARD (CFSAWS:ss)” COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR THE SAVING FUN FOR PRODUCTION GROUP IN PHAN DISTRICT

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to study the efficiency of adopting the “Cooperative Financial Surveillance and Warning System: Set Standard (CFSAWS:ss)” computer program for use by the saving fund for production group, and to assess the satisfaction of the group with the computer program. The target group is the saving fund for production group in Muangkum sub-district, Phan district, Chiang Rai province. The research was conducted via workshop training. The results of the study show that the CFAWSS:ss program is a program that enables the saving fund for production group to efficiently analyze financial management outcomes to achieve financial stability. It is equipped with the system to assess the efficiency of profitability, to assess liquidity and to assess financial stability, which will be useful for the group as the financial surveillance and warning system. After the participatory workshop training, the target group is more aware of the importance of financial management, especially on the matters of debt payment collection and the necessity for establishing annual capital reserve. The group does not feel that the computer program is an additional workload. The majority of group members are satisfied at the highest level with the convenience of collecting important data, with the satisfaction rating mean of 4.55, to be followed by the confidence in the analysis outcomes, with the satisfaction rating mean of 4.45, and the satisfaction with the program being easy to use, with the satisfaction rating mean of 4.40.
