A Production Development for Thai Fabric Footwear in Nonthaburi Province by the Quality Function Deployment Approach

Abstract

This research aimed to (1) apply Quality Function Deployment (QFD) techniques in planning for development of Thai fabric footwear products in Nonthaburi province, (2) develop Thai fabric footwear products in Nonthaburi province, and (3) evaluate the satisfaction with Thai fabric footwear products in Nonthaburi province that were developed by applying Quality Function Deployment techniques (QFD).  In the process of this research, the researcher transformed the needs of Thai fabric footwear production group in Nonthaburi province. The developed products had been changed in terms of beauty, usability and efficiency. The satisfaction with the developed Thai fabric footwear products were evaluated by 30 representatives of Thai fabric footwear production group in Nonthaburi province. The evaluation results showed that the developed Thai fabric footwear products received the satisfaction rating mean of 4.46 and standard deviation of 0.61 indicating that the developed Thai fabric footwear products received the high level of satisfaction. The outcome obtained from this research was that the Thai fabric footwear production group in Nonthaburi province had the guidelines for applying QFD to develop product patterns to satisfy users’ needs.
