As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Manuscript Preparation and Submission Guidelines

1. Types of Manuscripts

1.1 Research Article
A structured academic work presenting research findings, including the background and significance of the study, objectives, scope, methodology, results, conclusion, discussion, and recommendations.

1.2 Academic Article
An analytical or theoretical paper addressing an interesting or novel topic. It should include the background, objectives, relevant theoretical frameworks, and literature from diverse sources. The article should critically discuss and analyze the topic and provide recommendations.

1.3 Review Article
A comprehensive and up-to-date synthesis of academic knowledge in a specific field. It should critically evaluate current academic status, highlight trends, and suggest future directions for research and development.

1.4 Book Review
A scholarly critique of a book, article, or innovative work, discussing its content, value, and contributions to the field using appropriate academic principles and judgment.

2. Article Components

2.1 Research Article must include:

  • Title page
  • Author’s name, affiliation (department, faculty, institution), and email
  • Abstract (max 250 words)
    • Including research type, objectives, population and samples, instruments, data collection, data analysis, and result (key findings)
    • For Thai-language manuscripts, abstracts must be provided in both Thai and English.
  • Keywords: Up to 5 keywords
  • Main text structure:
    • Introduction (background and significance of the problem)
    • Research objectives
    • Conceptual framework (if applicable)
    • Hypotheses (if applicable)
    • Methodology
    • Research findings
    • Discussion
    • Recommendations
    • Acknowledgments (if applicable)

2.2 Academic Article must include:

  • Title
  • Author’s name, affiliation (department, faculty, institution), and email
  • Abstract (max 250 words)
    • Including objectives, main content, summary, and recommendations
    • For Thai-language manuscripts, abstracts must be provided in both Thai and English.
  • Keywords: Up to 5 keywords
  • Main text structure:
    • Introduction (rationale and issues to be addressed)
    • Main content (discussion and analysis based on academic principles and relevant literature)
    • Author’s academic perspectives should be clearly presented.
    • Conclusion and recommendations
    • Complete and properly formatted references

2.3 Review Article must include:

  • Title
  • Author’s name, affiliation, and email
  • Main content structure:
    • Introduction (highlighting the interest and importance of the topic)
    • Analytical synthesis of the literature
    • Conclusion with author’s suggestions and future perspectives
    • The content should be accessible and relevant not only to specialists but also to broader academic audiences.
    • Latest and comprehensive literature should be included.

2.4 Book Review must include:

  • Title
  • Author’s name, affiliation, and email
  • The title of the review should be engaging and informative (e.g., reflecting the book’s title, theme, or a critical question).
  • Introduction (overview of the book)
  • Review content (balanced critique, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, with clear reasoning)
  • Conclusion (summarizing the reviewer’s perspectives, insights, and observations that are useful to readers)
  • Even without reading the full review, the conclusion should provide a clear understanding of the book’s content and the reviewer’s standpoint.                       

3. Manuscript Preparation

3.1 Format

Articles must be prepared using Microsoft Word on A4 sized paper, single-sided, with approximately 26 lines per page in portrait orientation. The font should be TH Sarabun PSK, with a font size of 16 points. Page numbers must appear at the top-right corner on every page except the first page. The article length should not exceed 15 pages. Page setup and margin specifications are as follows:

    • Top: 2.54 cm
    • Bottom: 2.54 cm
    • Left: 2.54 cm
    • Right: 2.54 cm
    • Header: 1.25 cm
    • Footer: 1.25 cm

3.2 Title, Author(s), and Affiliation
The title in both Thai and English must be centered, using TH Sarabun PSK, 18-point bold font. Author names and affiliations must be provided in both Thai and English. Author names should appear without academic or honorific titles (e.g., Mr., Mrs., Miss, Dr., Asst. Prof., Assoc. Prof., Prof.) and must use TH Sarabun PSK, 16-point bold font.
The affiliation section should include the field of study, department, faculty, institution, or organization, and contact email. The affiliation text should also be in TH Sarabun PSK, 16-point bold font.
For manuscripts with multiple authors, the corresponding author must be clearly identified.

3.3 Abstract
The word “Abstract” should be aligned to the left, using TH Sarabun PSK, 18-point bold font. The content of the abstract and keywords should be in TH Sarabun PSK, 16-point regular font.

    • For Thai-language articles: both Thai and English abstracts are required.
    • For English-language articles: at least an English abstract is required (a Thai version is optional).
      The total abstract length (Thai + English) should not exceed one A4 page, formatted in single-column layout, and limited to approximately 250 words.
      The abstract must include Keywords (English version) and คำสำคัญ (Thai version), with no more than 5 terms.

3.4 Main Content
Section headings should be aligned to the left, using TH Sarabun PSK, 18-point bold font. Body text should be in TH Sarabun PSK, 16-point regular font.

3.5 Figures and Tables
All figures and tables must be clear and of high quality. Photographs should be actual images where applicable. If figures or tables are adapted from other sources, proper academic referencing must be provided. Use the label “Figure X” for figure and “Table X” for table.

 3.6 References

References must follow the APA 7th (American Psychological Association Seventh Edition), with the following requirements:
1) The number of references must not exceed 20 sources, and each source should generally be published within the last 10 years. Exceptions are permitted for foundational concepts or theories that were introduced more than 10 years ago but are still widely cited and relevant in current academic discussions.

2) References must be formatted in a single-column layout and listed in alphabetical order.
3) In text citations use an English translation of surnames and year. For examples: Yurarach (2017) or (Yurarach, 2017).

4) All Thai-language references must be translated into English, with both the English translation and the original Thai citation displayed together. The translated English reference should appear first, followed by the original Thai reference, with the phrase "(in Thai)" added at the end of the translated reference. And the references should be alphabetically ordered based on the English transliterations of author names.

4. Manuscript Submission

The manuscript must be submitted in both .docx and .pdf file formats via the ThaiJo online submission system. Authors must register and follow the system's instructions through the following link: https://www.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/spurhs

5. Processing and Peer Review Fee

If the manuscript does not pass the initial editorial screening, the author is not required to pay any article processing charge. However, if the editorial board determines that the manuscript is suitable for external peer review, the article will be reviewed by three independent peer reviewers who are experts in the relevant field, affiliated with various institutions outside of Sripatum University, and not from the same affiliation as the author.

The review process follows a double-blind peer review in which the reviewers do not know the author, and the author does not know the reviewers.

In this case, the author must pay 6,000 THB per article for article processing charge, by bank transfer only*, and send the payment slip to the editorial office of Sripatum Review: Humanities and Social Sciences via email at research@spu.ac.th
