ทุนมนุษย์และการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนของประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
บทความเรื่องนี้ทำการพิจารณาสถานการณ์เกี่ยวกับทุนมนุษย์ของประเทศไทยในปัจจุบันเพื่อวิเคราะห์โอกาสของประเทศไทยในการก้าวไปสู่การพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนในสังคมสูงวัย ทั้งนี้พบว่าทุนมนุษย์ของประเทศไทยยังไม่อยู่ในทิศทางที่จะสร้างการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และมนุษย์ อย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืนให้แก่ประเทศไทยได้ในระยะสั้น ทำให้ประเทศไทยยังมีโอกาสในการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนที่ไม่สูงนัก เนื่องจากประชากรส่วนใหญ่ของประเทศไทยยังมีการศึกษาในระดับต่ำและขาดการฝึกอบรมทักษะอย่างเพียงพอ รวมทั้งยังมีปัญหาจากการที่โครงสร้างตลาดแรงงานของประเทศมีความไม่สมดุลกับแรงงานในประเทศอีกด้วย ทั้งนี้พบว่า นโยบายภาครัฐที่เข้มแข็งและต่อเนื่องในการพัฒนาและยกระดับการศึกษา การพัฒนาขีดความสามารถ และการปรับปรุงภาวะสุขภาพให้แก่ประชากรในประเทศ ตลอดจนการปรับโครงสร้างแรงงานให้เหมาะสมกับตลาดแรงงานในประเทศ มีความจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งในการพัฒนาทุนมนุษย์เพื่อสร้างการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนให้แก่ประเทศไทยในสังคมสูงวัยต่อไป
