แรงงานข้ามชาติสัญชาติพม่า : การสร้างพื้นที่ตัวตนใหม่ข้ามถิ่น กรณีศึกษา จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการสร้างพื้นที่ตัวตนใหม่ข้ามถิ่นของแรงงานข้ามชาติสัญชาติพม่า กรณีศึกษา จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ กลุ่มเป้าหมายคัดเลือกแบบเจาะจง จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 21 คน คือ แรงงานข้ามชาติสัญชาติพม่า เพื่อนแรงงานคนไทย ผู้ประกอบการ และเจ้าหน้าที่ภาครัฐ เครื่องมือวิจัย คือ แบบสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก การสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วม และไม่มีส่วนร่วม การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การสร้างพื้นที่ตัวตนใหม่ข้ามถิ่นของแรงงานข้ามชาติสัญชาติพม่า ในจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช คือ (1) การสร้างพื้นที่ทางกายภาพ การบริโภคอาหารที่ซื้อได้สะดวกทุกสถานที่ ทุกเวลา สดใหม่ และบริโภคได้อิ่ม มีเสื้อผ้า และเครื่องนุ่งห่มที่เพียงพอต่อการสวมใส่ตามโอกาสต่าง ๆ มีที่อยู่อาศัยที่เป็นสัดส่วน และปลอดภัย มีสวัสดิการด้าน การรักษาพยาบาล ได้ออกกำลังกาย หรือเล่นกีฬา ภูมิใจที่มีรายได้จากความขยัน และเพียงพอนำไปเลี้ยงดูตนเอง และครอบครัว สุขใจที่ไม่มีภาระหนี้สิน และมีเงินออม (2) การสร้างพื้นที่ทางวัฒนธรรม ใช้ความสามารถทางภาษา (มากกว่า 2 ภาษา) ในการแลกเปลี่ยนและสร้างพื้นที่ทางวัฒนธรรม รวมถึงการปฏิบัติตามหลักคำสอนทางพุทธศาสนาซึ่งมีรากฐานทางวัฒนธรรมที่คล้ายคลึงกัน (3) การสร้างพื้นที่ปฏิบัติการ เป็นการพยายามเรียนรู้เทคนิคในการทำงาน เพื่อบ่งชี้ถึงการสร้างเนื้อสร้างตัว และการสร้างตัวตนใหม่ในลักษณะแรงงานนักปฏิบัติในจังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช
