Abstract

 This article explores the essentials and paradigms of development on the entire 6 Thailand regional spatial development plans 2057 (TRSDP 2057) through the theories of planning and regional planning. The findings indicate that all TRSDP 2057 have the development goals in common but particularize the setting of visions, policies, and strategies rely on situations and potentials of different regions. TRSDP 2057 also give priority to policy implementation on their essentials, nevertheless the actually cooperation of public, private, and social sectors in this process are not faultlessness. This kind of imperfection still found in the process of effective evaluations. For these reasons, suggestions for the shift of regional development paradigms deserve of (1) the successive & effective implementation and evaluation should be expressly concerned in regional development, (2) the open participation of all involved sectors, (3) the robust linkages throughout all levels of plans, and (4) the application of appropriate academic principles and concepts for achieving development goals.
