Abstract

This research aimed to (1) examine the levels of quality of work life and work happiness of employees, and (2) investigate the influence of quality of work life on work happiness of employees in a television and digital media service company. The sample comprised 400 employees selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis.

The results revealed that the overall quality of work life was at a high level, whereas work happiness was at a moderate level. Four dimensions of quality of work life, namely social integration, adequate and fair compensation, opportunity to use and develop capacities, and growth and security, significantly influenced work happiness at the .05 level and jointly explained 43.8 percent of its variance. The study recommends that the organization prioritize social integration, which exerted the strongest influence, together with establishing a fair compensation system, promoting opportunities for capability development, and providing clear career advancement paths.
