Dhammacakka in Theravāda Buddhism
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Mūlasarvāstivādavinayavastu was very significant text for Sangha or monks’ Order in the term of how to follow the Buddhist disciplines. Furthermore, the stories of Buddha, disciples and other historical persons were there. All these were to point out the heart of Buddhism, i.e. ‘Do no all evils, Do all good deeds and Purify your mind’.
In the term of language, Standard Sanskrit was mostly utilized all over the text, but only some portions were Mixed or Hybrid Sanskrit. The localized Sanskrit can be entirely noticed in words used in both prose and verse in which some of them were hardly interpreted and understood.
