Abstract
The research entitle ‘A Critical Study of karma and Result of karma, According to the Teaching of Theravada Buddhist Philosophy’ aims to study, to analyze Karma or action and its results, to analyze and synthesize the performances of Karma, to elaborate the Karma, both good and evil, and its results. The results revealed that One who has done bad Kamma can be born in the realms of Dugati. One who has done bad Karma can be born in the realms of Sugati. One who has done good Karma can be born in the realms of Sugati. One who has done good Karma can be born in the realms of Hell, as the past bad Karma is still effective. Karma has a functions, a sequence and time for the results of karma. Kamma doers both good or evil will certainly get results. A new body of knowledge is that belief in karma and Good actions lead to the realm of bliss and bad actions lead to the realms of woe.
