A Study of the Perfection Accumulating and Enlightenment of Yasathera

Abstract
This was a part of research paper entitled ‘A Study of the Perfection Accumulating and Enlightenment of Yasathera’ aiming at study of the enlightenment in Theravada in Buddhism, and the perfection cultivation and enlightenment done by qualitative research.
The results of this research indicated that the enlightenment is the state of realizing the Four Noble Truth. To attain this enlightenment, one must cultivate the wisdom following insight practice based on Four Foundations of Mindfulness which focuses on body, sensation, mind and all phenomena observing concluded as Rūpa and Nāma into Three Common Manner as they really were. Yasathera, in last life, was born as a son of a billionaire of Banarasi city, and Sujāta, his mother who offered Madhupāyāsa meal to the Buddha on his enlightenment day. When reaching the adult age, he was bored left the house and listened the teaching of the Buddha dealing with gradual teachings or Anupubbikathā and the Four Noble, his mind liberated from all fetters becoming as Saddhanusari which is faith led enlightenment. The method is to cultivate complete faculties up to liberation. He followed the Buddha’s teaching, observing the rises and falls of all mental objects, with great insight knowledge, knowing the Noble Truth, and finally entered into Arahantaship with 4 Patisambhidā, 8 Vimokkha and 6 Abiññā. He became the Arahanta through Saddhavimutti or the knower of Noble Path due to four Noble truth realizations.
