Approaches for Academic Administration of Private Secondary School in Bangkok According to Concept of Professional Learning Community

Abstract

The objections of this research were to 1) study the current state and the desirable state, 2) the needs assessment and 3) construct the approaches for academic administration of private secondary school in Bangkok according to concept of professional learning community. The sample group for study the current state, the desirable state and the needs assessment were 347 of principals, vice principals and teachers by multi-stage sampling. Informants of approaches construction were 11 experts. Assessors of standards for educational evaluation were 5 experts. Research instrument were: 1) questionnaire with reliability .950, 2) Interview form and 3) assessment form, respectively. The statistics used for data analysis was frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, and PNI modified.

             The findings were that 1) all aspects of the current state were high level, while the highest average aspect was school quality assurance and lower was school curriculum development respectively. The lowest aspect was learning management. The desirable state was the highest level in 3 aspects and high level 4 aspect; the highest level was school supervision and lower was the research of educational development, respectively. The lowest aspect was school quality assurance. 2) The needed assessment aspect showed that more than 0.200 were learning management, research of educational development and supervision aspect. 3) 20 approaches were gained as following; (1) 5 approaches of learning management (2) 3 approaches for research of educational quality development, (3) 4 approaches of school supervision, and (4) another 8 approaches suggested. All approaches meet the highest accuracy, utility standards and propriety, and feasibility standards was in high.
