A CULTURAL DIPLOMACY ROLE OF COMBODIAN BUDDHIST MONK STUDENTS IN MAHACHULALONGKORNRAJAVIDYALAYA UNIVERSITY

Abstract
This research article has 3 objectives: 1) study the way of life of Cambodian monks in Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, 2) study the roles of cultural ambassadors of Cambodian monks at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, and 3) study guidelines for promoting the role of cultural ambassadors of Cambodian monks at Mahachulalongkorn University. It was qualitative research.
The research results found that purposely the cultural diplomacy role of Cambodian Buddhist monk students where many roles were expected and desired by their society including the roles in voluntarily performing their activity and paying respect to others. Those roles become essential because they are regarded as providing certain guidelines to comfort people’s mind they morally behave as the role model through understanding space and time and strictly following the regional tradition.
As far as the cultural diplomacy role of Cambodian Buddhist monk students is concerned, it somehow supports those students in propagating their culture, arts and tradition whereby the exchange of such culture could be done since they represent such role by which it has been reflecting on the social position including their right and responsibility as follows: 1) the guideline in supporting the educational role, 2) the guideline in supporting the cultural role, 3) the guideline in supporting the role in living life, and 4) the guideline in supporting the social role.
