Colourful Blooming Flower

Abstract

The Purposes of this research were : 1) to study ten paintings created by fine artists in subject matter of Colorful Blooming Flower in the aspects of distortion, composition palette and painting techniques 2) to create four paintings in acrylic on canvas in subject matter of Colorful Blooming Flower. Sample included paintings by five artists in subject matter of of colorful blooming flower which obtained through purposive sampling random, Tools using were four paintings created by the researcher. Data collceted from three art experts using Applied Delphi Technique.
          The results were as follow :
          1. To study ten paintings created by five artists in subject matter of Colorful Blooming Flowers : In the aspect of distortion found that subject were simply distorted into illusive three dimensions of organic and geometric semi-abstract forms. The composition of pictures were allover arrangement without certain paint of view. without certain point of view, flower seen from above were enlarged to fill the pictase plane flowers. The palette used in the paintings were warm to cool colors in monotone weich emphasized natural colors of objects in light and dark values which aimed to show depth. The painting techniques were flat painting brush stroke painting including impasto to show some textures. 
          2. The four paintings created by the researcher, the distortion of the objects were simply three dimensions of optical illusive semi - abstract forms which aimed to show off a depth of the pictures and color weight. The composition of the pictures were overall, enlarged the flowers to fill picture plane and natural to show some details. seen from the top view. The palette of paintings were monotone aecording to natural colors, showing relation of light and dark values, emphasized some details and sharpness. The painting technique used were flat painting, in order to create smoothness, solfness and foggy atmosphere, and hard - edge painting to make sharpness of petals edge in some parts. Mereover, the researcher also used variovs painting tools to create textures of brush - strokes and marks.
