Public Participation regarding Community Rights in Natural Resources on Koh Klang Bang Talu, Surat Thani Province

Abstract

            The objective of this article studies the participation of people about the rights of the community in natural resources on the Koh Klang Bang Talu, Surat Thani Province with quality research, the study from documents and collecting data by conducting field research for participatory observation and interviewing key informants to find the question that they want to find by using the method to create knowledge and understanding about the phenomenon.

              The results showed that: The community rights in natural resource management in Koh Klang, Bang Talu. Which was a public park in honor of Rama X 1) the participation of the community, the community public hearing of the village 2) The emergence of the group name: "Rak Koh Klang Bang Talu" to conserve the ecosystem with the idea that communities must benefit together in the form of community rights that will lead to the sustainable 3) The management of natural resources including the Koh Klang Bang Talu was empowerment. Therefore, was a significant supporting factor for creating community cooperation focusing on the process of community participation in line with the needs of community members to create a balance between natural resources uses and the existence of biodiversity of Koh Klang Bang Talu.
