An Evaluation of the Elderly Welfare Allowance Project of Baantarn Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Baanlad District, Phetchaburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to assess the elderly welfare allowance project in context, input, process and product aspects of Baantarn Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Baanlad District, Phetchaburi Province. 2) to study the guidelines for the development the elderly welfare allowance project of Baantarn subdistrict Administrative Organization, Baanlad District, Phetchaburi Province. The samplings for the quantitative research were 221 elderly welfare recipients of Baantarn Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Baanlad District, Phetchaburi Province and for quantitative research were 6 key government officials, and 5 community leaders. Statistics which were used in data analysis were as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and the CIPP Model was used the content analysis.

The research found that: 1) the performance level of the elderly welfare allowance project of the Baantarn subdistrict Administrative Organization, Baanlad District, Phetchaburi Province, the overall aspects and four factors aspects were at the highest level. The orders from the lowest to the highest are as follows: process, input, product and context aspects. 2) The guidelines for development the elderly welfare allowance project of Baantarn Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Baanlad District, Phetchaburi Province, in the context aspect found that it should increase the amount of elderly welfare allowance,  the input aspect should develop personal knowledge and understanding in the details and methods of implementing of the project and supporting the budget for working, the process aspect should develop the public relations in order to advertise the official guidelines and let them receive accurate information, and it should  coordinate and exchange the information with other local government organizations or related agencies, and the last aspect, the output should promote the elderly in their activities, occupations and more earnings apart from the elderly welfare allowance.
