The Aparihāniyadhamma Principle’s Appilcation for Promoting the Role of Local Politicians in Integrated Community Waste Management Integrative Participation of Government Agencies and People in Lai Hin Sub-District Municipality, Ko Kha District, Lampang Province

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the level of local politician roles in participatory waste management, study the relationship between Aparihāniyadhamma and local politician roles in participatory waste management, and present guidelines for using Aparihāniyadhamma to promote local politician roles in participatory waste management with the cooperation of the government and people living in Lai Hin sub-district municipality, Ko Kha district, Lampang province. Conducted by the Mixed Research Methods between quantitative and qualitative. Research in Lai Hin sub-district municipality from 372 samples and 10 key informants. The tools used in the research are questionnaire and in-dept interview. Data were analyzed using a social science package. and use content analysis techniques to complement the context.

The results were as follows: 1) The level of local politician roles in participatory waste management overall was at an average level. 2) The relationship between Aparihāniyadhamma and local politician roles in participatory waste management was very high positive correlation. 3)The application of Aparihāniyadhamma and local politician roles in participatory waste management was as follows: Local politicians should attend the full conference with other organizations. They should promote mutually agreeable municipal policy, respect each other, follow the policy, and work with women. Local politician should encourage residents to clean up and manage waste in their communities. The well-being of persons responsible for community waste management in Lai Hin sub-district municipality, Ko Kha district, Lampang province, should be addressed.
