The Direction and the Trend of Thailand Film Industry

Abstract
During July, 2014 to July, 2015 Thai film industry had been considered to be at the lowest point due to the fact that Thai people who saw Thai films had been decreasing. Presently,Thai film companies are reducing a lot. It has an impact on domestic economy in Thailand. During the year 2014, thirty-five Thai films earned less than 30 million baht out of forty Thai films. The revenue of Thai films was from the total income of Thai films on screens in the theaters in Bangkok and perimeter. In year 2014 the total revenue of Thai films was a few. This research use the in depth interview method. The interviews were collected from a number of people who are in Thai film industry such as people from film studios, producers, and directors,cinema, government authorities and nonprofit film organization. Results indicated that the Thai government must take care and set the regulations for contribution then Thai film industry will increasingly grow. For examples, the film industry in South Korea and Australia were seriously helped by their governments. So their film industries have already been successful. Moreover, Thai films were admired by foreigners. Therefore, Thai films can be one of the highly valued OTOP products because the expense of making a Thai film is many millions baht. Thai films can be involved with Thai traditional food, dresses, lifestyles and society so that Thai products can propagate in overseas.
