The Story of Society

Abstract

This creative research project entitled, “The Story of Society” was creation of artwork that reflects the passion of the human heart as expressed through the signs and forms that give meaningful comparison in order to demonstrate the conditions within the vague melancholy silence of a world of greed and anger by their own attitudes. The artworks take the form of contemporary painting, the initial inspiration of which came from the political climate in Thailand during the years 2013 to 2014. The foundation of the researcher’s artwork initiative began by creating art through appropriation and imitation of the framework of the news in the newspapers, prior to unraveling the identity though researchers own unique style. This was undertaken by studying various forms of information from the news media such as newspapers or online media. The data was analyzed and interpreted to find the value and various meanings in detail by following the thoughts and inner feelings in its symbolic forms. The creative artwork initiative resulted in a total of 18 pieces of artwork which was divided into 3 phases. The first phase had a total of 4 pieces; the second phase had a total of 3 pieces; the third phase had a total of 11 pieces. All the 3 phases of the creative art initiative resulted in development in the areas of form and clearly unraveled the patterns to the satisfaction of the researcher.
