Abstract

This creative research aims at composing Thai music to express Thai astrological beliefs about the legend of Phra Suk (Venus) one of the nine planetary deities —and composition inspired by the characteristics of Phra Suk deities in the style of descriptive music (Program music). Research methodology started with the study documents, Interview about mythology interplanetary astrology Thailand—and approach to Thai music composition to guide major in creative work. The result of this research is Phra Suk, one of song in the musical creativity of the mythology of planets. A Composition based on the trendy traditional in 3.30 minutes—and using music style in Phleng Bangkhap Thang, Phleng Thang Kro and Luklo Lukkhat for the media to discuss teasing of a young lady with a pleasant atmosphere of love which inspired the researcher. The song conveys the emotions of young love and art (In this case is “Music”) corresponds to the characteristics of Phra Suk. Music played a Phiang-o Bon scale, Nathap Songmai (Song Chan) and performed with a Khrueangsai Phasom Khim ensemble with sound quality, sweetmood music and create a more harmonious. This creative research is an example of the study of a new style of composing Thai music.
