Sun Chao was a crystalline glaze artist who transposed his three-dimensional pottery designs to two-dimensional porcelain panels. Three major points emerged from Sun Chao’s crystalline glaze creations: 1) a transposition of creative dimensional pottery designs into porcelain panels 2) the crystalline glaze technique and process varying with the dimensions of pottery ware 3) the art style that was changed from the beauty of crystalline glaze porcelain panels to the art of abstract expressionism (Tachisme).

Sun Chao combined the western art style with the eastern art style by creatively integrating the process and special technique that had been created and previously used. He adapted that process and technique to a new technique forming his creative craft that has never been created by any painting artists or porcelain craftsmen before.
