The Study of Photography as a Medium in Conservation Publication : The Eastern Thungyainaresuan Wildlife Sanctuary

Abstract

Nature is currently being destroyed by humans both directly and indirectly and deforestation has also occurred in substantial amounts. Therefore, the way we disrupt the balance of environment or use natural resources mindlessly will have numerous detrimental impacts on humanity. Consequently, the researcher was producing photographic content with the intention of building a body of knowledge on how to use images for conservation, with the goal of raising awareness about safeguarding forests and the environment. As a result, the researcher published this collection of images and carried out research to evaluate its efficacy. Using a questionnaire created, the researcher interviewed ten photography industry professionals for their thoughts on this collection of photos. The major subject is highlighted in the composition, which is a simple narrative that places it almost in the middle of the picture. The shadiness and fertility of the forest are depicted by the shadows and light in this collection of images. The images in this series of photographs are consistent because of the light and color tones. In the part of the caption, experts say more of informative descriptions can be added for viewers to reach and understand more about the subject in the photograph. 

However, the researcher's primary issue was a lack of preparation for living in the forest, the geography of the study region, and the preparation of the equipment that was inadequate for capturing images in the forest. To help the construction of this series of photographic works to accomplish the goals stated, the researcher used photographic skills to overcome pressing challenges. In conclusion, this collection of photographs can be utilized to effectively spread a conservative message since the audience for this research is aware of the forest's importance and the value of its natural resources. They are also motivated to help protect the forest because it is essential to the Thai people and to humanity
