Abstract

The contemporary female jewelry design inspired by Ban Chiang bronze
accessory artifacts using 3D technology aimed to: 1) to examine pattern forms of the
prehistoric ancient accessories of the Ban Chiang civilization in Nong Han District, Udon
Thani province. 2) To create a collection of silver female jewelry in a contemporary-art
style which was adapted from Ban Chiang bronze antique pattern accessories inspired
by utilizing 3D technology; the collection including a ring, a necklace, a bangle or
bracelet as well as earrings. 3) To evaluate the satisfaction towards the contemporary
silver woman jewelry according to the idea and form which were inspired by the group
of natural patterns derived from the bronze antiques of Ban Chiang civilization;
additionally, they were created as well as produced with 3D technology process. The
design procedures were adapted with the jewelry-design trend in 2017 regarding Self
Art or Individual Art issue to represent new creating methods which can exhibit selfidentity
through wearing tribe jewelry. The tribe jewelry was applied with the natural
patterns from Ban Chiang bronze artifacts accessories which can be clearly defined. In
regard to the jewelry production by three-dimensional technology, the body is made
of enamel silver to combine the modernity and Ban Chiang bronze together in order to
make the contemporary female accessories better and to create unique Thai products
in the Asian free market.
