Guidelines for Developing Quality Assurance Results of the Course Level of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon: Needs Assessment

This research aimed to 1) analyze the cause of the need to develop quality assurance results of the course level, 2) determine guidelines for the development of quality assurance results at the course level, and 3) assess the appropriateness and possibility of applying the guidelines to improve quality assurance results at the course level. By using purposive sampling, the target group of this research was 26 people, comprising 20 professors in charge of the course and 6 quality assurance experts, by using purposive sampling. Research instruments include group process activity logs, prioritization logs, and assessment forms of the appropriateness and possibility of the development guidelines, as the most appropriate tools. Analyzed data by content analysis, mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that the most important guidelines for developing quality assurance results at the course level were the creation of appropriate and quality forms to survey the graduates; promotion of understanding of the PDCA process between auditors and assessors to reduce divergent attitudes and optimizing the appropriate workload of lecturers without affecting the arrangement of academic papers to propose for the academic position; implementation of the process of verification and assessment of learner competency in the course teaching; and appropriate linkage with the research, academic services, art and cultural preservation, as the measurable results with the most appropriate and possible guidelines at the high and highest level.
