The Administration and Management Guidelines for Dual Curriculum of Vocational Education and High School Education (Dual Education) of Nan Technical College for Thailand Education 4.0

Abstract

The objective of this study was to propose the administration and management guidelines for effective dual curriculum of vocational education and high school education (dual education) of Nan Technical College for Thailand Education 4.0. There were 30 samples including 3 administrators, 1 chief of curriculum administration, 9 teachers, 4 students, 4 parents, and 9 college committee members. The research instruments were questionnaire and interview. The data was calculated for mean and standard deviation. The results showed that: 1. Curriculum implementation planning: Design curriculum based on dual education, determine curriculum goals, study context and needs of students, local community and advent of technology, systematically design curriculum structure and information, setup clear and consistent curriculum supervision and monitoring plan. 2. Curriculum implementation: Organize meeting orienting curriculum implementation, implement vocational education curriculum according to competence and interests of students, deploy instructional activities according to learning objectives and indicators by focusing on handson experience with technology, and develop and evaluate the students according to the indicators. 3. Curriculum implementation support: Support the use of technology in classroom instruction, encourage teachers and educational personnel in upgrading their knowledge on basic education, ICT skills, and publish the students’ works for advertising the curriculum implementation outcome to stakeholders. 4. Curriculum supervision, controlling and monitoring: Determine policy, conceptual framework, direction, systematic criteria for evaluating and assessing learning, implement systematic instruction and supervise, control and monitor according to real situation collaboratively by academic affairs of high school and vocational education and benchmark with the standards of Department of Skill Development, and track employability of the graduated students. 5. Curriculum evaluation and improvement: Use various types of appropriate tools, evaluate learning outcome of students reflecting their professional skills enabling them to develop their quality of life, generate income, develop innovation, evolve new ideas and use technology for beneficial purposes, evaluate by testing with Deport of Skill Development consistently.
