The Development of Guidelines for Building Good Relationship of School and Communities Surrounded Ban Doi Chang School under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This study aimed to develop the guidelines building the good relationship of the school and communities surrounded Ban Doi Chang School under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The samples were 40 participants including 1 administrator, 9 teachers, 20 parents and 10 school committee members. The research instruments were questionnaire and interview. The data analysis employed mean and standard deviation. The results showed that: 1. The development of teachers and educational personnel was proposed. 1) Workshop involved project development and proposal requesting budget for workshop, appointing workshop committees, implementing workshop as scheduled, orienting the knowledge on definition, significance, roles and duties of teachers and educational personnel for school and communities, building good relationship with communities, the guidelines building good relationship with communities and allowing meeting participants to propose ideas for building good relationship between school and communities. 2) Field trip involved meeting preparation tobuild awareness and methods for school and communities to work together. Implementation involved doing activities together by designing activities and assigning persons on duty, budget, duration and evaluation. Summary involved developing the field trip report after visiting the best practice school in order to present the guidelines for building good relationship of school and communities. 2. The implementation of building good community relations were the following steps. 1) School offering assistance or services for the communities in various aspects such as assisting students, counselling or advising on developing activities for communities, offering learning resources and academic resources for communities. 2) School receiving assistance from the communities involved allowing communities to propose the guidelines for supporting school development. 3) Inviting parents and villagers to attend the meeting. 4) Visiting parents and students at their home. 5) Building good relationship with communities and other organizations. 6) School public relations involved advertising news and school’s works. 3. Supervision concerning 6 tasks in the 1st semester involved observation, interview, activities attended by teachers and educational personnel. This was supervised and evaluated by means of giving advice and reviewing the past implementation to reflect for developing the guidelines in building good relationship between school and communities in the 2nd semester of Ban Doi Chang School based on action plan, assigned teachers on duty, supervision calendar for monitoring the activities for building good relationship of school and communities
