The Approach for Administration and Management Promoting Classroom Research of Ban Pong Daeng School under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This qualitative study aims to develop administration and management guidelines for promoting classroom research at Ban Pong Daeng School under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The participants were 1 school administrator, 14 teachers, 1 educational supervisor who is a classroom research expert. The research instrument consisted of brainstorming questions and questions for focus-group discussion following POLC framework.

                   The results showed that the Administration and Management Guidelines to Promoting the Classroom Research of Ban Pong Daeng School under Chiang Rai Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 were proposed. Planning: The school should determine
a policy for academic administration to promote classroom research for primary level teachers to conduct one classroom research project per academic year and one classroom research project per semester for secondary teachers totaling 2 research projects per year. Clearly define roles and responsibilities and appoint a committee to promote knowledge on conducting classroom research. Organizing: The school should restructure the organization for promoting classroom research development by clearly define job responsibilities of staff based on their knowledge, competence and expertise. Leading: The school should encourage the personnel to attend workshops and seminars for developing knowledge and experience in conducting classroom research. Improve information system and rectify weaknesses in conducting classroom research. Control: The school should implement supervision and monitoring, review and evaluation regularly. Give advice to teachers on conducting classroom research, and nurture their knowledge and understanding about classroom research.
