Factors Influencing the Potential of Capital Access of Early-stage Entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the level of business factors influencing the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province, 2) study the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province, 3) study the differences between types of financial sources that early-stage entrepreneurs can access and their capital access potential, and 4) study business factors influencing the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province. The sample group used in this research consisted of 360 early-stage entrepreneurs of establishments in Chiang Rai that had been registered as legal entities for no more than 3 years. Questionnaires were used as a tool for data collection. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing using one-way analysis of variance and multiple regression analysis.
The research results showed that: 1) overall, business factors influencing the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province were at the highest level (Xˉ = 4.71), 2) overall, the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province was at the highest level (Xˉ = 4.69), 3) different types of financial sources did not result in differences in the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs, and 4) external business factors related to financial sources had the greatest positive influence on the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province, followed by other internal business factors including business characteristics, entrepreneur characteristics, and operations. External business factors related to the economy had the least influence on the potential of capital access of early-stage entrepreneurs in Chiang Rai Province, with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
