Development of Pharmacy Management Information System

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) design and development of the pharmacy management information system, 2) evaluate the efficiency of the pharmacy management information system, and 3) study the satisfaction of users of the pharmacy management information system. Using Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 and used the MS SQL database management system to store data. The research tools were 1) pharmacy management information system, 2) system efficiency assessment form, and
3) user satisfaction assessment form. The sample was divided into 2 groups: 3 information system development experts and 10 system users. The results showed that the developed information system can store primary data such as customer information, drug information, drug type information and manufacturer company information, etc. The system can manage drug purchases from manufacturers and sell drugs to customers including being able to issue receipts and reporting on performance. The results of system performance evaluation by experts were at a high level (𝑥̅=3.86, S.D.=0.47) and the overall system user satisfaction studies were at a high level (𝑥̅=4.45, S.D.=0.51).
