The Content Analysis of Kids TV Program “TATA TITI TOTO CHEEKY DINO” Thai PBS

Abstract

        The main purposes of this research are 1) to study the program formatted of “TATA TITI TOTO CHEEKY DINO”TV Program and 2) to study the content of “TATA TITI TOTO CHEEKY DINO”TV Program which can enhance child development. 3) to study the education road map in 21^st by following the formatting and content concept of Television Program for Kids, Child Development and Education in 21^st Century concept. Content analysis, and Interview the program producer and specialists are our research methodology. As a result, the program formatted with regard to suitability for preschool children are puppet plays with slides, accompanying songs, subtitles, graphics, colors, voice narration and songs to describe various important events during the program. The main characters are 3 super heroic dinosaur brothers. They have special characteristics, inquirer, self-awareness, caretaker, responsibility, leadership, followers and decision makers which lead to enhance child development in 4 aspects, self-awareness, family role model, social role model, and leadership. The Thai language is easy to understand, polite, and correctly. Mostly content are adventures in science and technology fictional events which enhance child development in 4 aspects which create the emotional quotient for children to spend their life much more, happily, joyfully, and innovative. According to the 21^st century educational approach represented, the main contents focus on storytelling which is emphasized collaboration on game based that can be evaluated at the end of each game. This help to stimulate 4 aspect of child development leading to, foundational skill, critical thinking, character qualities, and adaptability.
